This is the finished product..
First, I rounded up a variety of paper colors so each persons invites would be unique. This was a personal choice so obviously you can make them all uniform. These sheets of paper were standard printer size (11 1/2 X 8 1/2).
Next, I folded them in half..see below
After they were folded in half I used my 1 3/8 inch hole punch for the legs and neck holes. (I ordered this hole punch on Amazon for $8.) You will first need to make a hole at the crease for the neck and then at the two bottom corners – please see photos below.
Once this part was finished I needed to make the arms. So I measured about an inch from the fold and cut a half inch into the paper. From the slice..I then folded the paper so it looked like a long triangle. **You don’t need to fold the paper if you don’t want..I just did this to have a cutting line**
The final product, before decorating should look like this…
Now to the fun part…decorating. This was the longest part of the process but it also allows you to be really creative. Since these are for a baby girl I wanted to make them more feminine. I already had lace and ribbon so I started making bows and stripes to glue onto the paper..
The finished product was this…
For the polka dots I just used scrap paper and a small hole punch to make them all uniform. It was an easy way to save some money!
